Assistant Professor in the Department of International Relations at Universidade Autónoma de Lisboa and Visiting Professor at NOVA FCSH, she is an integrated researcher at the Portuguese Institute of International Relations (IPRI-NOVA), where she is a member of the Scientific Council, and an associate researcher at Observare-UAL. She holds a PhD in International Relations from Universidade Nova de Lisboa and was the first Portuguese woman to attend the “Russia and the Contemporary World” course at the Diplomatic Academy of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in Moscow. She worked at the Portuguese Ministry of Foreign Affairs between 2000 and 2005 and has been an international politics commentator on CNN Portugal since 2022. Her research focuses on the Russian Federation, foreign policy, and international security.
