An international politics commentator and analyst, he has followed U.S. politics since 2000, the year of the election between Al Gore and George W. Bush. Since November 2024, he has been an international politics commentator at Now, where he has also hosted Guerra e Paz since January 2025. Between 2020 and 2024, he was an international politics commentator for SIC and TSF. At SIC Notícias, he created Decisão América, a program aired between August and November 2024, and in 2024 he wrote regularly for Diário de Notícias on Tuesdays and Sundays. He is also co-author of the Radar USA podcast with Ana Rita Guerra. He is the author of seven books, six of them focused on U.S. presidencies and one on Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. His titles include Histórias da Casa Branca, Por Dentro da Reeleição, Hillary Clinton: Nunca é Tarde para Ganhar, Isto não é bem um Presidente dos EUA, Joe Biden: o Homem e as suas Circunstâncias, A Guerra Incomportávele O Colapso da Verdade. He was a FLAD fellow during the 2012 U.S. presidential elections, which culminated in Barack Obama’s re-election. He holds a degree in Communication Sciences from the School of Social Sciences and Humanities at Universidade Nova de Lisboa, and completed the Defense and Security Course for Journalists at the National Defense Institute in 2013, as well as Advanced Studies in Geopolitics at the same institute in 2023/2024.
